Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) accounts for up to 15% of all breast cancer (BC) cases and responds well to endocrine treatment when estrogen receptor α-positive (ER<sup>+</sup>) yet differs in many biological aspects from other ER<sup>+</sup> BC subtypes.
