Dataset for Bluetooth 5.1 Direction of Arrival with non Uniform Rectangular Arrays.

ABSTRACT: This paper presents a dataset for Bluetooth 5.1 direction of arrival (DoA). The dataset was generated with a specifically designed mathematical model of a non-uniform rectangular antenna array. The Python source files that generated the dataset are also provided. The dataset was conceived as a starting point for developing and validating DoA algorithms for real-life scenarios. Unlike other datasets, it contains Bluetooth signals with not only varying intensity of additive white Gaussian noise, but also coherent interfering signals with random DoA coordinates. The dataset is divided into two branches, one consisting of pure sinusoidal tones and the second comprised of baseband Bluetooth signals. Since the codebase which generates the data is included, this dataset has a high reuse potential, and it can be modified to suit also other types of signals or different array topologies.

Project description:Brain-implanted microelectrode arrays show promise as future clinical devices. However, biological responses to various designs, compositions and locations of these implants have not been fully characterized, and may impact the long-term functionality of these devices. In order to improve our understanding of the tissue conditions at the interface of chronic brain-implanted microdevices, we proposed utilizing advanced histology and microscopy techniques to image implanted devices and surrounding tissue intact within brain slices. We then proposed utilizing these methods to examine whether depth within the cerebral cortex affected tissue conditions around implants.Histological data was collected from rodent brain slices containing intact, intracortical microdevices four weeks after implantation surgery. Thick tissue sections containing the chronic implants were processed with fluorescent antibody labels, and imaged in an optical clearing solution using laser confocal microscopy.Tissue surrounding microdevices exhibited two major depth-related phenomena: a non-uniform microglial coating along the device length and a dense mass of cells surrounding the implant in cerebral cortical layers I and II. Detailed views of the monocyte-derived immune cells improve our understanding of the close and complex association that immune cells have with chronic brain implants, and illuminated a possible relationship between cortical depth and the intensity of a chronic monocyte response around penetrating microdevices. The dense mass of cells contained vimentin, a protein not typically expressed highly in CNS cells, evidence that non-CNS cells likely descended down the face of the penetrating devices from the pial surface.Image data of highly non-uniform and depth-dependent biological responses along a device provides novel insight into the complexity of the tissue response to penetrating brain-implanted microdevices. The presented work also demonstrates the value of in situ histological collection of brain implants for studying the complex tissue changes that occur, and the utility of pairing thick-tissue histology with appropriate optical clearing solutions.

Project description:In order to accurately and easily predict the variation of the average temperature of the concrete rectangular hollow pier. Firstly, the temperature distribution of the concrete rectangular hollow pier of Changjiahe Special Bridge was observed for 212 days. Then, based on the observation data, the functional relationship between the average concrete hollow pier temperature and the outside air temperature, and the air temperature inside the hollow pier was studied. Finally, based on this functional relationship, a prediction model for the range of variation of the mean temperature of the hollow pier was given and verified. The results of the study show that: the change of external shade temperature can be regarded as the superposition of different cyclic changes and random changes; the change rule of the average temperature of the concrete hollow pier is the same as that of the air temperature, both presenting day-by-day cyclic and step changes; the linear correlation coefficients between the daily maximum and daily minimum average hollow pier temperature and the daily average air temperature are R = 0.980 and R = 0.973, respectively; the daily average air temperature, the daily average air temperature inside the pier and daily average hollow pier temperature are R = 0.980, R = 0.998; the daily variation of the average hollow pier temperature and the daily variation of the air temperature are approximately linear, with a correlation coefficient of R = 0.899; assuming that the average temperature of the concrete hollow pier is a folding change, based on the above relationship, a method of predicting the time-by-time average temperature of the concrete hollow piers is proposed, as well as two methods of predicting the average temperature of the test piers.
