Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health threat globally, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Both human and <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (MTBC) genetic variation affect TB outcomes, but few studies have examined if and how the two genomes interact to affect disease.
