<i>Taiwania cryptomerioides</i> is a monotypic species, and its terpenoid-rich property has been reported in recent years. To uncover monoterpene biosynthesis in <i>T. cryptomerioides</i>, this study used transcriptome mining to identify candidates with tentative monoterpene synthase activity.
