ABSTRACT:

Background

Botrychium schaffneri Underw. has been popularly consumed since ancient times as a traditional medicine in China to treat whooping cough, bronchial asthma, and febrile convulsive twitch disease. This led us to investigate whether Botrychium schaffneri Underw. extract (BSE) may be effective against lung cancer, especially non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).

Methods

In this study, we extracted the ethanolic root extract of the grass, Botrychium schaffneri Underw. In vitro study, the change of NCI-H1299 cell proliferation was observed with CCK8 and MTT assays.
