Epigenetic silencing of tumor suppressor genes (TSGs) plays an essential role in cancer pathogenesis, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML). All of <i>SHP-1</i>, <i>SOCS-1</i>, and <i>SOCS-3</i> are TSGs that negatively regulate JAK/STAT signaling.
