Contact angle hysteresis is a common phenomenon in nature, which also plays an important role in industrial applications. A numerical model based on the moving mesh two-phase flow method is presented for modeling contact angle hysteresis. The implementation includes a displacement-based penalty method and a state variable method. The pinning, moving, and repinning of the contact lines can be simulated.
