ABSTRACT: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Celastrina argiolus) (the holly blue; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae). The genome sequence is 499 megabases in span. The majority (99.99%) of the assembly is scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules, with the Z sex chromosome assembled. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl has identified 12,199 protein coding genes.
