<i>Alpinia zerumbet</i> (Pers.) B.L. Burtt and R.M. Smith belongs to the <i>Alpinia</i> genus in the <i>Zingiberaceae</i> family. In East Asia, <i>Alpinia zerumbet</i> has been widely used as food and traditional medicine.
