A 12-day-old male calf that did not want breast milk from birth died following neurological signs such as staggering. Postmortem examination revealed bleeding and encephalomalacia in the left striatum and frontal lobe. Histopathologically, necrotic granulomatous encephalitis with numerous fungi was detected.
