<i>Rhizoctonia solani</i> is a necrotrophic plant pathogen with a wide host range. <i>R. solani</i> is a species complex consisting of thirteen anastomosis groups (AGs) defined by compatibility of hyphal fusion reaction and subgroups based on cultural morphology.
