Tuberculosis (TB) control programs use whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (<i>Mtb</i>) for detecting and investigating TB case clusters. Existence of few genomic differences between <i>Mtb</i> isolates might indicate TB cases are the result of recent transmission.
