The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a critical role in promoting the growth and metastasis of glioblastoma (GBM). Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), the most abundant myeloid cells infiltrating in TME, produce proinflammatory cytokines, regulate glioma cell pools, and lead to GBM progression.
