<i>Triosteum pinnatifidum</i> Maxim., an alpine plant, is traditionally used for several medicinal purposes. Here, both chloroplast DNA sequences and nuclear low copy sequence markers were used to investigate the genetic diversity and population structure of <i>T. pinnatifidum</i>.
