It is well known that the anthracycline anticancer drug doxorubicin (DOX) induces cardiotoxicity. Recently, <i>Chrysanthemum morifolium</i> extract (CME), an extract of the purple chrysanthemum flower, has been reported to possess various physiological activities such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
