Despite the excellent antibacterial and antifouling effects of haloperoxidase (HPO)-mimicking CeO<sub>2-<i>x</i></sub> nanorods, their antiviral efficiency has not been explored. Herein, we designed and synthesized CeO<sub>2-<i>x</i></sub> nanorods with varying aspect ratios <i>via</i> the hydrothermal method.
