Treatment options for severe asthma are limited, particularly in those patients who do not meet criteria for biologicals. Targeted lung denervation (TLD) is the bronchoscopic ablation of the peribronchial vagal nerve trunks to reduce cholinergic stimulation of airway smooth muscle and submucosal glands.
