Spectinomycin resistance in Neisseria spp. due to mutations in 16S rRNA.

ABSTRACT: Spectinomycin resistance in clinical isolates of Neisseria meningitidis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae was found to be due to mutations G1064C and C1192U (Escherichia coli numbering) in 16S rRNA genes, respectively.
