Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified <i>THADA</i> as one of the susceptibility genes for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the <i>THADA</i> gene showed significant over-transmission in PCOS and strong correlations with testosterone level.
