Two rhodamine B-based fluorescent probes, BOS1 and BOS2, were designed and synthesized with good yields <i>via</i> the condensation reactions between the <i>o</i>-diaminobenzene modified rhodamine core structure (RBO) and salicylaldehyde derivatives.
