An efficient method for the synthesis of new spiro-tetraoxadodecanediamines and tetraoxazaspirobicycloalkanes has been developed by reactions of primary arylamines with <i>gem</i>-dihydroperoxides and α,ω-dialdehydes (glyoxal, pentanedial) catalyzed by lanthanide catalysts.
