Related literatures in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) database were identified using the search terms "central venous catheter" and "thrombosis". The CiteSpace software was used to analysis literature data including country, institution, author, and journal distribution characteristics, as well as the use of keywords, and the number of times the country, institution, author, or journal were cited. Co-occurrence maps between countries, institutions, authors, and keywords were constructed.
