The biochemical properties of α-1,3-galactosyltransferase WciN from <i>Streptococcus pneumoniae</i> serotype 6B were systemically characterized with the chemically synthesized Glcα-PP-(CH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>11</sub>-OPh as an acceptor substrate.
