CD4<sup>+</sup>CD25<sup>high</sup>Foxp3<sup>+</sup> regulatory T-cells (Tregs) are functionally characterized for their ability to suppress the activation of multiple immune cell types and are indispensable for maintaining immune homeostasis and tolerance.
