<i>Stenotrophomonas maltophilia</i> (<i>S. maltophilia</i>) is a common opportunistic pathogen that is resistant to many antibiotics. Bacteriophages are considered to be an effective alternative to antibiotics for the treatment of drug-resistant bacterial infections.
