Diabetes Management after a Therapeutic Education Program: A Qualitative Study.

ABSTRACT: (1) Background: Structured education has been used in patients treated with insulin, promoting their ability to adhere to and self-manage their treatment. We aimed to know the perception and adherence to the recommendations on the management of diabetes in type 1 diabetes patients after participating in a therapeutic education program. (2) Methods: A descriptive qualitative study followed the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research guidelines. Patients with type 1 diabetes participating in a therapeutic education program were recruited from February to April 2022. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were used, and transcriptions were analyzed using the inductive qualitative content analysis method.
