Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Susceptibility of ABO Blood Groups to Venous Thromboembolism in Individuals with Factor V Leiden.

ABSTRACT: A limited number of studies investigated the association between the ABO blood groups and the incidence of venous thromboembolism in individuals with Factor V Leiden; however, discordant findings were reported. Consequently, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the existing evidence on the susceptibility of the ABO blood group to venous thromboembolism in individuals with Factor V Leiden. All English-published articles on the Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, EMBASE, and Google Scholar were comprehensively and systematically searched by the author without a time or region limit.
