Hydridic-to-protonic dihydrogen bonds (DHBs) are involved in comprehensive structural and energetic evolution, and significantly affect reactivity and selectivity in solution and solid states. Grand challenges exist in understanding DHBs' bonding nature and strength, and how to harness DHBs.
