<i>Trypanosoma cruzi</i> (<i>T. cruzi</i>) is a parasite that affects humans and other mammals. <i>T. cruzi</i> depends on glycolysis as a source of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) supply, and triosephosphate isomerase (TIM) plays a key role in this metabolic pathway.
