Chlorimuron-ethyl is a widely used herbicide in agriculture. However, uncontrolled chlorimuron-ethyl application causes serious environmental problems. Chlorimuron-ethyl can be effectively degraded by microbes, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are not fully understood.
