Bis-(3-methyl-1-propyl-1,3-di-hydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl-idene)silver(I) chlor-ido(5,10,15,20-tetra-phenyl-porphin-ato)cadmate(II).

ABSTRACT: The structure of the title salt, [Ag(C₇H₁₂N₂)₂][CdCl(C₄₄H₂₈N₄)], at 150 K has triclinic symmetry. One of the phenyl rings bonded to the porphyrin mol-ecule and the propyl groups of both yl-idene mol-ecules coordinating to silver are disordered over two positions.

Project description:The title salt, (C(6)H(11)N(2))(2)[Cd(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)], displays a discrete mononuclear structure, in which the central Cd(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry by two N and four O atoms from two different pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate anions in an O(2),N,O(6)-tridentate chelation mode. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.576 (5) Å].

Project description:In the title compound, C(20)H(28)N(4) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), the dihedral angles between the benzene ring and the imidazole rings are 70.18 (11) and 69.83 (11)°, while the imidazole rings form a dihedral angle of 40.52 (12)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯F inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001). A π-π inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.601 (1) Å is also observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The synthesis of the title salt, [Ag(C(6)H(7)N(4))(2)](NO(3))(3), was carried out employing a 1:2 molar ratio of 2,2'-biimidazole and silver nitrate respectively. The cation has crystallographically-imposed C2 symmetry with the metal atom in an almost linear coordination environment [N-Ag-N = 177.01 (17)°]. The crystal structure displays N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The cationic complex of the title compound contains an RhI atom with a pseudo-square planar coordination environment. It is ligated by an N-heterocyclic carbene, a triphenylphosphane, and a bidentate cylcooctadiene ligand. Charge balance is achieved from an out-sphere tetrafluoridoborate anion. A new N-heterocyclic cationic rhodium(I) complex with a tetrafluoridoborate counter-anion, [Rh(C8H14N2)(C8H12)(C18H15P)]BF4, has been prepared and structurally characterized. The cationic complex exhibits a distorted square-planar environment around the rhodium(I) ion. Two connections are made from rhodium(I) to the carbon atom of an N-heterocylic carbene ligand and to the phosphorus atom of a triphenylphosphane ligand. The remaining two coordination sites are made via a bidentate interaction from the two olefinic bonds of cyclooctadiene to the rhodium(I) ion. The compound includes an out-sphere tetrafluoridoborate counter-anion. Within the crystal of the compound exist several weak intermolecular C—H⋯F interactions.

Project description:In the title salt, [Ag(C27H36N2)2]Cl·C4H8O, the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two 1,3-bis-(2,6-di-methyl-phen-yl)imidazol-2-yl-idene ligands. The imidazole rings are inclined to one another by 46.69 (13)° and the benzene rings in each ligand are almost normal to the imdazole ring to which they are attached, with dihedral angles varying from 82.39 (13) to 88.27 (12)°. There are C-H⋯π inter-actions present in the cation, involving the two ligands, and the solvent mol-ecule is linked to the cation via a C-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by trifurcated C-H⋯(Cl,Cl,Cl) hydrogen bonds, forming slabs parallel to (101). One isopropyl group is disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.447 (17):0.553 (17) and the THF mol-ecule is disordered over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.589 (6):0.411 (6).

An S(6) ring motif is formed via an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, neighbouring mol-ecules are linked by a pair of inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming an inversion dimer. The dimers are further linked by a pair of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, leading to the formation of chain along [021]. A C-H⋯π inter-action involving the centroid of the benzene ring is also observed between the chains.

Project description:The title compound, {(C(13)H(22)N(4))[Ag(2)I(4)]}(n), was prepared by reaction of 1,3-bis-(N-ethyl-imidazolium-1-yl)propane iodide with silver (I) oxide. In the 3,3'-diethyl-1,1'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)di(1H-imidazol-3-ium) cation, the dihedral angle between the imidazole rings is 49.3 (1)°. In the [Ag(2)I(4)](2-) anion, each Ag(I) atom is bonded to three iodide anions, the two Ag(I) atoms and two of the iodides forming Ag(2)I(2) square-planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.01 Å) units·The remaining two iodides, which are placed on opposite sides of the square, together with their centrosymmetric counterparts, link the square-planar Ag(2)I(2) units into {[Ag(2)I(4)](2-)}(n) polymeric chains via Ag-I bonds.

Project description:The title structure, (C(11)H(20)BrN(2))[Ag(CN)(2))], is built up from an approximately C(2v)-symmetric imidazolium cation and a nearly linear dicyanidoargentate anion [N-Ag-N = 176.6 (9)° and Ag-C-N = 178.8 (9) and 177.2 (11)°]. These two constituents are linked by a remarkably short inter-action between the Br atom of the imidazolium cation [C-Br = 1.85 (3) Å] and one N atom of the cyanidoargentate anion [Br⋯N = 2.96 (2) Å], which is much less than the sum of the van der Waals radii (3.40 Å). The crystal studied was twinned by merohedry.
