ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C₁₉H₁₃IO₂, the dihedral angle between the naphthyl ring system and the pendant iodo-phenyl ring is 72.48 (11)°. In the crystal, C-H⋯π inter-actions and I⋯O [3.293 (2) Å] halogen bonds are observed, which combine to generate a herringbone packing motif.

In the title compound, C20H16O3, the 2-methoxyphenyl ring is tilted by 50.67 (3)° with respect to the naphthyl ring system. The central pyran ring has an envelope conformation with the C atom bearing the pendant ring system as the flap. The methoxy group attached to the benzene ring is slightly twisted [C—C—O—C = −15.2 (1)°] from the ring. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯O interactions link the molecules into C(7) chains propagating along [101].

Project description:In the title compound, C26H20O3, the pyran ring has a distorted half-chair conformation and its mean plane is inclined to the naphthalene ring system, to which it is fused, by 10.79 (9)°. The dihedral angles between the napthalene unit and the benzene and phenyl rings are 54.39 (9) and 52.65 (12)°, respectively, while the benzene and phenyl rings are inclined to one another by 74.80 (14)°. There is a short C-H⋯O contact in the chromen-1-one unit. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by two pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers described by graph set motifs R 2 (2)(8) and R 2 (2)(10), giving rise to chains running parallel to (101). The chains are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming sheets lying parallel to (010).

Project description:The crystal structure of bispyrazolone, recrystallized from DMSO, indicates that the enamine tautomer is favored. The title compound, C20H18N4O2, known as bispyrazolone, was crystallized from dimethyl sulfoxide. The structure has orthorhombic (Pbca) symmetry at 150 K, and displays both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonding through C—H⋯O and N—H⋯O contacts, respectively. None of the phenyl and pyrazolone rings in the molecule are coplanar. The dihedral angle between the pyrazolone rings is 66.18 (5)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C21H18O4, the central pyran ring is in an envelope conformation and the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and naphthalene ring system is 88.31 (1)°. The meth-oxy groups at the ortho and meta positions of the benzene ring are tilted to the ring with C-C-O-C torsion angles of 105.9 (4) and 9.5 (5)°, respectively. In the crystal, pairwise C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form R 2 2(14) inversion dimers, which are linked by another pair of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form [210] chains in the crystal.

Project description:The title compound, C15H9FO3, was obtained in a one-pot synthesis by Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and nucleophilic substitution reaction of 4'-chloro-2',5'-di-fluoro-aceto-phenone with o-(meth-oxy-carbon-yl)phenyl-boronic acid. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules related by a non-crystallographic inversion centre. There are face-to-face stacking inter-actions between the aromatic rings of the benzoate and aceto-phenone units of the symmetry-independent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distances = 3.870 (3) and 3.986 (3) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are further assembled via stacking inter-actions along the a-axis direction. One of the mol-ecules inter-acts with its inversion equivalent [centroid-centroid distance between the aromatic rings of the benzoate and aceto-phenone units = 3.932 (3) Å], and the other inter-acts with its twofold axis equivalent [centroid-centroid distance between the aromatic rings of aceto-phenone units = 3.634 (3) Å].
