ABSTRACT: The title compound, [MnBr(C₁₃H₈NO)₂], consists of a manganese(III) atom, which is coordinated by one bromido and two benzo[h]quinolin-10-olato ligands. The Mn^III complex exhibits a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry with the Br ligand in the apical position. Neighbouring complexes are held together by π-π inter-actions and weak C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The two independent N-heterocycles in the centrosymmetric title compound, [La(2)(C(10)H(9)NO)(4)(NO(3))(6)], exist in the zwitterionic form. One of these binds to one metal center, whereas the other bridges two metal centers. The La atom is chelated by three nitrate groups and is surrounded by nine O atoms in a coordination environment based on a distorted monocapped square-anti-prism. The dinuclear structure is further stabilized by intra-molecular N-H⋯O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Zn(4)(C(9)H(6)NO)(6)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(2)]·2H(2)O, the Zn(II) atom that is bonded to one O atom of the acetate group is chelated by a quinolin-8-olate anion. This Zn atom is also bonded to the oxide O atoms of two other quinolin-8-olate anions, which themselves engage in chelation to the other Zn(II) atoms. The Zn(II) atom is five-coordinate in a square-pyramidal coordination geometry. Project description:The Sn(IV) cation in the title compound, [Sn(CH3)2(C10H8NO)2], is N,O-chelated by two 2-methyl-quinolin-8-olate anions and coordinated by two methyl groups in a skew-trapezoidal bipyramidal geometry. In the mol-ecule, the two quinoline ring systems are twisted to one another at 10.91?(18)°. The dimethyl-tin skeleton [C-Sn-C = 149.6?(2)°] is bent over the longer edge of the trapezoid that is defined by the four chelating atoms. Weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonding occurs in the crystal.
