5-Nitro-2,3-bis­(thio­phen-2-yl)quinoxaline

ABSTRACT: The structure of a nitro-bis­(thio­phen-2-yl)quinoxaline has been determined at 298 K. The title compound, C16H9N3O2S2, was synthesized via a condensation reaction in refluxing acetic acid. The dihedral angles between the mean plane of the quinoxaline unit and the thienyl rings are 35.16 (5)° and 24.94 (3)°.
