Psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease, ie, Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis, are chronic systemic immune-mediated disorders affecting an increasing proportion of adults and children worldwide. Observational studies have suggested an association between inflammatory bowel disease and psoriasis and vice versa.
