A rare insight into the immunosuppressive landscape of prostate cancer bone metastases.


ABSTRACT: Therapeutic options for metastatic prostate cancer patients are currently limited. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Kfoury et al. characterized the tumor and immune compartments of prostate cancer bone metastasis, revealing a mechanism of immunosuppression that involves infiltration with M2 macrophages and T cell exhaustion mediated by the CCL20-CCR6 axis.
