Nuclear envelope membrane proteins (NEMPs) are a conserved family of nuclear envelope (NE) proteins that reside within the inner nuclear membrane (INM). Even though Nemp1 knockout (KO) mice are overtly normal, they display a pronounced splenomegaly.
