Various studies have been conducted, exploring the genetic susceptibility of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Adenosine receptor subtype A2a (ADORA2A) and cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) are implicated in pathways such as oxidative stress and caffeine metabolism, which are associated with AD.
