Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis is the most common form of hereditary amyloidosis, with an autosomal dominant inheritance and a variable penetrance. ATTRv amyloidosis can present as a progressive, axonal sensory autonomic and motor neuropathy or as an infiltrative cardiomyopathy.
