(Nitrito-κ² O,O')bis-[tris-(4-methyl-phen-yl)phosphane-κP]silver(I).

ABSTRACT: The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, [Ag(NO₂)(C₂₁H₂₁P)₂], exhibits a pseudo-tetra-hedral coordination around the central Ag^I atom. The compound crystallizes with one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit in the monoclinic space group P2₁/n with a rather long b axis [33.8752 (2) Å]. Weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N inter-actions consolidate the crystal packing. The nitrite-O atoms each occupy a single position in the coordination geometry.

Project description:The title complex, [Ag(C(18)H(15)P)(4)]BF(4), was prepared by the reaction of silver(I) tetra-fluorido-borate and triphenyl-phosphane in the presence of 1,2-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl-ene. The Ag(I) atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by four P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane (PPh(3)) ligands. Due to symmetry, the tetra-fluorido-borate anion is disordered over three positions (each with one third occupancy). The tetra-fluorido-borate anion does not coordinate to the Ag(I) atom.

Project description:In the title solvated salt, [Ag(C18H15P)4](CF3CO2)·C2H5OH, the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by four P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The anion and solvent are engaged in weak O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Of the four triphenyl-phosphane ligands, two each have an equally disordered phenyl ring while the Ag(I) atom is disordered over two positions in a 0.9595 (15):0.0405 (15) ratio and the trifluoro-acetate anion is equally disordered over two positions with respect to the lattice ethanol mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag{P(C(6)H(11))(2)(C(6)H(5))}(2)]ClO(4)·CH(2)Cl(2), the Ag(I) atom in the mononuclear complex cation is coordinated by two P atoms of the phosphane ligands [Ag-P = 2.3993 (4) and 2.4011 (4) Å; P-Ag-P = 177.473 (18)°] and the perchlorate anion acts as the counter-anion. There is an Ag⋯O(perchlorate) inter-action of 2.873 (2) Å, which contributes to the slightly non-linear bond angle about the Ag(I) atom. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving phenyl, cyclo-hexyl and dichloro-methane H-atom donors and perchlorate O-atom acceptors contribute to the stabilization of the crystal structure.

There are intra-molecular N-H⋯Br and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds present. In the crystal, pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds involving thio-urea groups form inversion dimers. In addition, moleclues pack to give sixfold phenyl embraces with an inter-molecular P⋯P distance of 6.4586 (17) Å.

Project description:[Os2(CO)4(tri-p-tolylphosphine)2]2(μ4-adamantane-1,3-dicarboxylate)2 is a molecular loop consisting of two parallel diosmium(I) sawhorse units linked together by two bridging dicarboxylato ligands. The title compound is only the second example of a Group 8 dinuclear sawhorse complex with an adamantane-based dicarboxylato ligand. The title complex, [{Os2(CO)4(C21H21P)2}2(C12H14O4)2], is a centrosymmetric molecular loop consisting of two Os—Os sawhorse units linked by two adamantane dicarboxylato bridges. It was synthesized by the microwave-mediated reaction between Os3(CO)12 and adamantane-1,3-dicarboxylic acid. In contrast to the related complex [{Os2(CO)6}2(μ4-adamantane-1,3-diacetate)2], the metal–metal axes within each molecule are oriented parallel rather than perpendicular to one another. The crystal structure exhibits cavities that contain residual electron density peaks, but it was not possible to unambiguously identify the solvent therein. The contribution of the disordered solvent molecules to the scattering was removed using the SQUEEZE (Spek (2015 ▸). Acta Cryst. C71, 9–18) routine in PLATON [Spek (2020 ▸). Acta Cryst. E76, 1–11]. These solvent molecules are not considered in the given chemical formula and other crystal data.

The RuII atom has a classical three-legged piano-stool environment being coordinated by a cymene ligand [Ru—centroid = 1.707 (2)/1.704 (2) Å], a tris(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphane ligand [Ru—P = 2.3629 (15)/2.3665 (15) Å] and two chloride atoms with the Ru—Cl bonds adopting two distinct values of 2.4068 (16)/2.4167 (16) and 2.4016 (15)/2.4244 (16) Å. The effective cone and solid angles for the phosphane ligands were calculated to be 149.5/150.2° and 25.3/25.6°, respectively. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯Cl/O/π interactions are observed. The crystal was refined as a two-component twin.

Project description:In the mononuclear mixed-ligand title complex, [AgCl(C7H7NS)(C18H15P)2], the Ag(I) ion is four coordinated by one S atom of a benzene-carbo-thio-amide ligand, two P atoms of two tri-phenyl-phosphane ligands and one chloride ion, displaying a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal, pairs of N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds form inversion dimers. An intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is also observed.
