Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) is the rare form of familial hypercholesterolemia causing extremely high low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels, leading to atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in the first decades of life, if left untreated.
