Epizootic haemorrhagic disease (EHD) is a <i>Culicoides</i>-borne viral disease caused by the epizootic haemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV) associated with clinical manifestations in domestic and wild ruminants, primarily white-tailed deer (<i>Odocoileus virginianus</i>) and cattle (<i>Bos taurus</i>).
