Prison inmates are a high-risk group for tuberculosis (TB) infection and disease due to the increasing number of vulnerable fringe groups, risk factors (<i>e.g</i>., alcohol and drug addictions), contagious diseases (HIV, hepatitis), and their high-risk behavior.
