The Effects of Metabolism Tracker Device (Lumen) Usage on Metabolic Control in Adults with Prediabetes: Pilot Clinical Trial.

ABSTRACT:

Introduction

Prediabetes is a risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, it may be reversed via lifestyle changes. Lumen is a novel handheld device that measures exhaled CO2 producing results in agreement with those of indirect calorimetry when assessing metabolic fuel usage. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of following Lumen's personalized, measurement-guided lifestyle intervention program on anthropometric and metabolic variables in adults with prediabetes.

Methods
