Project description:In the title compound, C20H15ClN2, the pyrimidine ring is in a flattened half-chair conformation. The phenyl and chloro-substituted benzene rings form dihedral angles of 84.97 (5) and 80.23 (4)°, respectively, with the benzene ring of the di-hydro-quinazoline group. The dihedral angle between the phenyl and chloro-substituted benzene rings is 61.71 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are arranged in inter-secting layers parallel to (101) and (-102), with N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds linking mol-ecules along [010]. In addition, a weak C-H⋯π inter-action is observed.

Project description:In the title compound, C(22)H(19)NO, the 2,3-dimethyl-anilinic group is planar with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0226 Å. The phenyl rings with the carbonyl and imine substituents are also planar with r.m.s. deviations of 0.0019 and 0.0048 Å, respectively. These phenyl rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 74.70 (5) and 79.43 (5)°, respectively, with the 2,3-dimethyl-anilinic group, whereas the dihedral angle between them is 88.28 (4)°. Weak intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonding occurs and completes an S(5) ring motif in the mol-ecule. In the crystal, weak π-π inter-actions are present between the carbonyl-containing phenyl rings at a centroid-centroid distance of 3.5958 (12) Å. C-H⋯π inter-actions between the 2,3-dimethyl-anilinic and the carbonyl-containing phenyl rings are also present, where the C-H group is from the former.

Project description:In the title Schiff base, C13H9Cl2NO2, which arose from the condensation of 3,4-di-chloro-aniline with 2,3-di-hydroxy-benzaldehyde, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 44.74 (13)°. Intra-molecular O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds close S(5) and S(6) rings, respectively. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R 2 (2)(10) loops. A weak C-H⋯π inter-action is also observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Schiff base molecule, C25H20N2O, contains two independent mol-ecules. In each mol-ecule, the C=N bond is in an E conformation. The most significant difference between the two mol-ecules is seen for the dihedral angles between the meth-oxy-substituted benzene ring and the two phenyl rings, which are 85.5 (1) and 82.3 (1)° in the first mol-ecule, and 49.0 (1) and 40.4 (1)° in the second. This conformational difference is reflected in the central C=N-C C torsion angle, which is 28.7 (2)° in the first mol-ecule and -29.8 (3)° in the other. In each mol-ecule, there is an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond.
