Crystal structure of caesium dimethyl-N-benzoyl-amido-phosphate monohydrate.

ABSTRACT: The caesium salt of dimethyl-N-benzoyl-amido-phosphate, namely, aqua-[di-meth-yl (N-benzoyl-amido-κO)phospho-nato-κO]caesium, [Cs(C₉H₁₁NO₄P)(H₂O)] or CsL·H₂O, is reported. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system in the P2₁/c space group and forms a mono-periodic polymeric structure due to the bridging function of the dimethyl-N-benzoyl-amido-phosphate anions towards the caesium cations.

Project description:Caesium propano-ate monohydrate, Cs+·C3H5O2 -·H2O, is composed of two symmetry-independent Cs+ cations, which are situated on the special position 4e of space group P 21 m, one symmetry-independent propano-ate mol-ecule in a general position and a pair of water mol-ecules also situated on special position 4e. Two pairs of these symmetry-independent cations, four propano-ate mol-ecules and two pairs of symmetry-independent water mol-ecules form a repeat unit. These units form columns that are directed along the c axis and possess symmetry mm2. There are four such columns passing through each unit cell. Each column is inter-connected to its neighbours by four bifurcated three-centred Ow-H⋯Op (w = water, p = propano-ate) hydrogen bonds of moderate strength. There are also four intra-molecular Ow-H⋯Op hydrogen bonds of moderate strength within each column. One Cs+ cation is coordinated by six oxygen atoms (two water and four carboxyl-ate) in a trigonal-prismatic geometry, while the other Cs+ cation is coordinated by four water and four carboxyl-ate O atoms in a tetra-gonal-prismatic arrangement.

Crystal structure of caesium tetra-methyl-dithio-imidodiphosphinate.

Project description:In the title crystal, the salt [CsMe2P(S)NP(S)Me2] is self-assembled as an undulating supra-molecular two-dimensional polymeric structure, poly[(μ4-tetra-methyl-dithio-imidodiphosphinato)caesium], [Cs(C4H12NP2S2)] n , which is parallel to the bc plane. The Cs cations are hexa-coordinated, being chelated by two thio-imidophosphinate groups and two sulfur atoms from neighboring ligands. The anions are linked to the Cs cations by Cs⋯S and Cs⋯N electrostatic inter-actions.

In the crystal, the melaminium cations are connected by two pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming tapes along [110]. These tapes develop a three-dimensional network through N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O, N-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the cations, anions and water mol-ecules.

Project description:SrS2O3·H2O was obtained from an aqueous solution of Na2S2O3 and Sr(NO3)2 and crystallizes in space group P with all atoms at general positions. The Sr2+ ion exhibits an [8 + 1] coordination defined by two terminal S and six O atoms of thio-sulfate ions, one of the latter at a longer distance, and by one O atom of a water mol-ecule. Two thio-sulfate anions act as bidentate, four as monodentate ligands. The structure consists of mainly ionically inter-acting layers lying parallel to the crystallographic ab plane. The layers are connected by O-H⋯S and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds of moderate strength.

Project description:1-Methylimidazole 3-N-oxide (NMI-O) crystallizes as a monohydrate, C4H6N2O·H2O, in the monoclinic space group P21 with Z' = 2 (mol-ecules A and B). The imidazole rings display a planar geometry (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0008 and 0.0002 Å) and are linked in the crystal structure into infinite zigzag strands of ⋯NMI-O(A)⋯OH2⋯NMI-O(B)⋯OH2⋯ units by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These chains propagate along the b-axis direction of the unit cell.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H6N2O2·H2O, consists of N-hy-droxy-picolinamide and water mol-ecules connected through O-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The O-H⋯O inter-actions and π-π stacking inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.427 (1) Å] organize the components into columns extending along the b axis and the N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link these columns into a two-dimensional framework parallel to (100). The N-hy-droxy-picolinamide mol-ecule adopts a strongly flattened conformation and only the O-H group H atom deviates significantly from the mol-ecule best plane. The dihedral angle between the hydroxamic group and the pyridine ring is 5.6 (2)°. The conformation about the hydroxamic group C-N bond is Z and that about the C-C bond between the pyridine and hydroxamic groups is E.

Redetermination of the crystal structure of caesium tetra-fluorido-bromate(III) from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data.

Project description:Caesium tetra-fluorido-bromate(III), CsBrF4, was crystallized in form of small blocks by melting and recrystallization. The crystal structure of CsBrF4 was redetermined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. In comparison with a previous study based on powder X-ray diffraction data [Ivlev et al. (2013 ▸). Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. 639, 2846-2850], bond lengths and angles were determined with higher precision, and all atoms were refined with anisotropic displacement parameters. It was confirmed that the structure of CsBrF4 contains two square-planar [BrF4]- anions each with point group symmetry mmm, and a caesium cation (site symmetry mm2) that is coordinated by twelve fluorine atoms, forming an anti-cubocta-hedron. CsBrF4 is isotypic with CsAuF4.

Crystal structure of di-benzyl-dimethyl-silane.

Project description:In the title compound, C16H20Si, a geometry different from an ideal tetra-hedron can be observed at the Si atom. The bonds from Si to the benzylic C atoms [Si-C = 1.884 (1) and 1.883 (1) Å] are slightly elongated compared to the Si-Cmeth-yl bonds [Si-C = 1.856 (1) and 1.853 (1) Å]. The Cbenz-yl-Si-Cbenz-yl bond angle [C-Si-C = 107.60 (6)°] is decreased from the ideal tetra-hedral angle by 1.9°. These distortions can be explained easily by Bent's rule. In the crystal, mol-ecules inter-act only by van der Waals forces.
