Cu-based nanomaterials have been widely considered to be promising electrocatalysts for the direct conversion of CO<sub>2</sub> to high-value hydrocarbons. However, poor selectivity and slow kinetics have hindered the use of Cu-based catalysts for large-scale industrial applications.
