ABSTRACT:

Background

Recent studies indicated that the prognosis of patients with gastrointestinal tumors is frequently influenced by its complications, notably myocardial injury. The main object is to investigate the occurrence and risk factors of myocardial injury in patients with gastrointestinal tumor.

Methods

1126 patients who received gastrointestinal tumor related surgery from May 2018 to June 2020 in the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University were retrospectively collected and divided into the non-myocardial injury group and the myocardial injury group (high-sensitive cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) ≥ 0.028 ng/ml).
