Whole Genome Metabolism - Canis familiaris

ABSTRACT:

Whole Genome Metabolism of "Canis familiaris"
This is a whole genome metabolism model of Canis familiaris.
This model has been automatically generated by the SuBliMinaL Toolbox and libAnnotationSBML using information coming from from KEGG (release 66, April 2013, accessed via the resource's web services interface) and, where relevant, augmented with metabolic pathway information extracted from MetaCyc (version 17.0, March 2013).
This model has been produced by the path2models project and is currently hosted on BioModels Database and identified by: BMID000000141291 .
Other models with the same genus include BMID000000008795 BMID000000008796 BMID000000008797 BMID000000008798 BMID000000008799 BMID000000008800 BMID000000008801 BMID000000008802 BMID000000008803 BMID000000008804 BMID000000008805 BMID000000008806 BMID000000008807 BMID000000008808 BMID000000008809 BMID000000008810 BMID000000008811 BMID000000008812 BMID000000008813 BMID000000008814 BMID000000008815 BMID000000008816 BMID000000008817 BMID000000008818 BMID000000008819 BMID000000008820 BMID000000008821 BMID000000008822 BMID000000008823 BMID000000008824 BMID000000008825 BMID000000008826 BMID000000008827 BMID000000008828 BMID000000008829 BMID000000008830 BMID000000008831 BMID000000008832 BMID000000008833 BMID000000008834 BMID000000008835 BMID000000008836 BMID000000008837 BMID000000008838 BMID000000008839 BMID000000008840 BMID000000008841 BMID000000008842 BMID000000008843 BMID000000008844 BMID000000008845 BMID000000008846 BMID000000008847 BMID000000008848 BMID000000008849 BMID000000008850 BMID000000008851 BMID000000008852 BMID000000008853 BMID000000008854 BMID000000008855 BMID000000008856 BMID000000008857 BMID000000008858 BMID000000008859 BMID000000008860 BMID000000008861 BMID000000008862 BMID000000008863 BMID000000008864 BMID000000008865 BMID000000008866 BMID000000008867 BMID000000008868 BMID000000008869 BMID000000008870 BMID000000008871 BMID000000008872 BMID000000008873 BMID000000008874 BMID000000008875 BMID000000008876 BMID000000008877 BMID000000008878 BMID000000008879 BMID000000008880 BMID000000008881 BMID000000008882 BMID000000008883 BMID000000008884 BMID000000008885 BMID000000008886 BMID000000008887 BMID000000008888 BMID000000008889 BMID000000008890 BMID000000008891 BMID000000008892 BMID000000008893 BMID000000008894 BMID000000008895 BMID000000008896 BMID000000008897 BMID000000008898 BMID000000008899 BMID000000008900 BMID000000008901 BMID000000008902 BMID000000008903 BMID000000008904 BMID000000008905 BMID000000008906 BMID000000008907 BMID000000008908 BMID000000008909 BMID000000008910 BMID000000008911 BMID000000008912 BMID000000008913 BMID000000008914 BMID000000008915 BMID000000008916 BMID000000008917 BMID000000008918 BMID000000008919 BMID000000008920 BMID000000008921 BMID000000008922 BMID000000008923 BMID000000008924 BMID000000008925 BMID000000008926 BMID000000008927 BMID000000008928 BMID000000008929 BMID000000008930 BMID000000008931 BMID000000008932 BMID000000008933 BMID000000008934 BMID000000008935 BMID000000008936 BMID000000008937 BMID000000008938 BMID000000008939 BMID000000008940 BMID000000008941 BMID000000065157 BMID000000065158 BMID000000065159 BMID000000065160 BMID000000065161 BMID000000065162 BMID000000065163 BMID000000065164 BMID000000065165 BMID000000065166 BMID000000065167 BMID000000065168 BMID000000065169 BMID000000065170 BMID000000065171 BMID000000065172 BMID000000065173 BMID000000065174 BMID000000065175 BMID000000065176 BMID000000065177 BMID000000065178 BMID000000065179 BMID000000065180 BMID000000065181 BMID000000065182 BMID000000065183 BMID000000065184 BMID000000065185 BMID000000065186 BMID000000065187 BMID000000065188 BMID000000065189 BMID000000065190 BMID000000065191 BMID000000065192 BMID000000065193 BMID000000065194 BMID000000065195 BMID000000065196 BMID000000065197 BMID000000065198 BMID000000065199 BMID000000065200 BMID000000065201 BMID000000065202 BMID000000065203 BMID000000065204 BMID000000065205 BMID000000065206 BMID000000065207 BMID000000065208 BMID000000065209 BMID000000065210 BMID000000065211 BMID000000065212 BMID000000065213 BMID000000065214 BMID000000065215 BMID000000065216 BMID000000065217 BMID000000065218 BMID000000065219 BMID000000065220 BMID000000065221 BMID000000065222 BMID000000065223 BMID000000065224 BMID000000065225 BMID000000065226 BMID000000065227 BMID000000065228 BMID000000065229 BMID000000065230 BMID000000065231 BMID000000065232 BMID000000065233 BMID000000065234 BMID000000065235 BMID000000065236 BMID000000065237 BMID000000065238 BMID000000065239 BMID000000065240 BMID000000065241 BMID000000065242 .

A survey of the dog genome sequence (6.22 million sequence reads; 1.5x coverage) demonstrates the power of sample sequencing for comparative analysis of mammalian genomes and the generation of species-specific resources. More than 650 million base pairs (>25%) of dog sequence align uniquely to the human genome, including fragments of putative orthologs for 18,473 of 24,567 annotated human genes. Mutation rates, conserved synteny, repeat content, and phylogeny can be compared among human, mouse,  ...[more]
