Digital PCR and T. gondii among Salvadoran women at parturition
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Banked whole blood and serum samples from Salvadoran women presenting for labor and delivery were screened for acute primary toxoplasmosis infection. Maternal-child health indicators were measured to determine associations. Digital PCR could provide a more sensitive method of detection for this hard-to-diagnose, vertically transmitted infection.
